The Vietnamese Association For Computing, Engineering Technology and Science is pleased to announce the second annual VACETS Technical Internation Conference, VTIC'97. This year conference is co-sponsored by the San Jose State University and will be held on July 17, 18, and 19, 1997 at San Jose State University, San Jose, California, U.S.A. This conference, with the theme "Key Technologies for the Year 2000", focuses the discussions on pacing technologies that are believed to be key technologies in the Year 2000 and beyond.
VTIC '97 will provide an excellent opportunity for engineers, scientists and VACETS members to meet for technology exchange, networking and friendship. We would like to encourage the participation of students and newly graduates, as well as extending the invitation of participation to the high-tech companies.San Jose, the nation's eleventh largest city located in Santa Clara County, is known as the Capital of Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley is the world's leader in innovation and advanced technology research. Its neighbour, the San Francisco (50 miles North), is the world's number one visitor destination, and the reasons for this distinction are many.

Students are encouraged to submit papers. Accepted papers will be printed in the conference proceedings under Student Paper Session. There will be one award to be presented to the best student paper at the conference.

There will be a banquet with live entertainment. Half a day Saturday 07/19 is also reserved for entertainment activities for participants and families.
